FAQ

FAQ

Why do Connor’s Greens last longer than other microgreen products in the cooler?

This primarily has to do with the way we grow and package our greens, we reduce the physical handling of the greens by our internal processes, less handing helps, also by packing the greens snugly we are able to create a packaged environment that carries temperature and moisture levels better and does not allow the wilting process to start as early as with other looser packaging techniques.

Why are Connor’s Greens better tasting than microgreen products?

Our greens are grown at the same specific temperatures and lighting conditions year-round, this may not seem like a significant variable, but when combined with proper plant nutrition it yields a premium tasting product repeatedly.  Also, we have spent years developing our fertilization formulas, we do not grow products just to achieve weight in the shortest timeframe possible.

How long has Connor’s Greens been in business?

Connor’s will have been growing commercially since February of 2015, we are centrally located in Houston near Hwy 59 and Hilcroft Dr. 77081.  Currently we are at about 60% of our expanded capacity.  Our “hybrid hydroponic” growing processes have been developed over a two-year R&D process prior to going commercial.

What about Food Safety?

Connor’s Greens is a USDA Harmonized GAP/GHP certified facility.  To our knowledge, Connor’s Greens is the only USDA certified facility in the USA using 100% artificial light.
