What are Microgreens?

Microgreens are very small edible plants produced from vegetable and herb seeds. Microgreens are harvested while they are still very small plants, they range in size from 1 to 2 inches long, including the stem and leaves. Microgreens have surprisingly intense flavors considering their small size, their flavors vary from sweet to spicy and their texture can range from melt in your mouth to crunchy. Microgreens are very nutritious, they are said to contain from 4 – 40 times more vitamins and minerals ounce per ounce than their mature plant cousins

MISSION

Connor's Greens mission is to provide superior and nutrient-rich microgreen products at affordable prices to independent consumers in the Gulf Coast region of the United States who appreciate quality, flavor and freshness. And to leverage our geographic advantage as it applies to getting the best microgreens available today from farm to your table as soon as possible.

Faq

Why do Connor’s Greens last longer than other microgreen products in the cooler?

This primarily has to do with the way we grow and package our greens, we reduce the physical handling of the greens by our internal processes, less handing helps, also by packing the greens snugly we are able to create a packaged environment that carries temperature and moisture levels better and does not allow the wilting process to start as early as with other looser packaging techniques.

Why are Connor’s Greens better tasting than microgreen products?

Our greens are grown at the same specific temperatures and lighting conditions year-round, this may not seem like a significant variable, but when combined with proper plant nutrition it yields a premium tasting product repeatedly.  Also, we have spent years developing our fertilization formulas, we do not grow products just to achieve weight in the shortest timeframe possible.
